Review: Maybelline Baby Lips

Once the Baby Lips came out in the UK I knew I was going to have to buy some, so after reading reviews and blog posts about them I decided which I wanted to try. I bought mine from boots and everything on Maybelline was three for two so I bought three! From left to right they are: Cherry Me, Hydrate and Pink Punch. I am so pleased that I bought them because for only £2.99 they are an amazing purchase! They are so soft on the lips and because mine have been quite dry lately these are perfect for adding moisture back into them! As I do not have many products for my lips I have been wearing these all the time since I purchased them.

Pink Punch

Pink Punch was the one I was most excited to try so I am a little bit dissapointed because I have discovered that the colour doesn't suit me very well. Other than that the smell is gorgeous! It reminds me of tropical juice. I find if I just put a tiny bit of this on the lips and blend it in it looks just fine (I think).

Cherry Me

I was also going to buy peach kiss but they were sold out of that one in boots so I bought Cherry Me instead which I am so pleased I did! I would say this coulour suits me more than Pink Punch and is my favourite out of the three of them.

Hydrate

I am glad I chose a clear shade too because I use this just before I go to bed or any other time I am wearing no makeup because then I don't have to apply a tinted one just to get soft lips! I would describe the smell a mixture between pinapple and lemon.. I don't think that is what it is but it does smell very fresh.

My lips have been a little bit red lately so the swatches didn't look as good on them so I decided to do them on my hand instead so you can still see what they are like. The far right is Cherry Me which is a dark red/pink colour but is very sheer so adds just a nice tint of colour to your lips but not to little. The one in the middle is Pink Punch which is a baby/pale pink so didn't look as good with my light hair and skin but would probably suit people with more of a tan. I also found the colour stood out more than the cherry shade did. Finally on the far left (if you can notice) is Hydrate which has no colour but leaves a lovely glossy finish on the lips making them look moisturised and healthy.

What do you think of the Baby Lips and what is your favourite shade?

My Favourite Sprays and Perfumes

I love adding a spray to myself before I go out because it makes me feel so much fresher and happier! Fruity, fun scents always put me in a good mood, especially when you can smell them all day long. I like how throughout the day I get small wafts of sweet smells and knowing it is me that smells great! So I thought I would share some of my favourite sprays and perfumes with you.

Number 1

This boots natural collection body spray is only £2.00 and comes in so many scents. My favourite is the vanilla because it is so sweet and girly but I also love the passionfruit too. For the price these are an excellent purchase because the smell stays strong for a good part of the day before it starts to fade. They also last forever and are great if you are looking for something on the cheaper side!

Number 2

Another one of my favourite sprays is the hollister laguna beach mist. This was given to me as a present and I fell in love with the fruity scent straight away! The description reads "Peach - Guava - Coconut Milk" which is a very strong scent so might not be everyone's ideal choice. It is priced at £12.00 and also comes in a few different scents which I haven't yet tried but really want to! I would say this is a very summery smell but because I love it so much I would happily wear it all year round.

Number 3

For a slightly more subtle smell I love to use impulse. Their scents aren't as strong as the hollister and boots sprays so I like using these when I am looking for something lighter. They usually cost £1.99 from boots or superdrug but I usually buy them when they are on offer. I think the image on the left is a slightly older scent and I am not sure if they still sell it but it is called temptation and is "a blend of musky vanilla scents with amber notes". If you can't find this scent a very similar one is the temptation - vanilla and peach.

Number 4

For something more sophisticated I like wearing
the Taylor Swift wonderstruck perfume. It is still quite a young scent but it seems older than the others. This is the 30ml so cost £20.00 but the 50ml costs £29.00. I love wearing this on special occasions because it seems slightly posher than the others! I would say it is more fruity than floral but with added notes of sandlewood and amber.

BarryM -  Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint

I am constantly adding new nail varnishes to my collection as I just want to try every colour in every single shade there is! So I have a wide spread of different brands and collections but after trying the BarryM gelly paints I know my collection of these alone is going to grow.

I know they have been out for a while now but because I love them so much I had to share them with you just incase you haven't tried them yet. They are some of the best nail varnishes I have ever owned, infact they are the BEST nail varnishes I have ever owned! They are priced at only £3.99 but last up to a week on my nails which is longer than some of the higher end nail paints I own.

    Prickly Pear.                           Watermellon.                             Satsuma.

I love the finish on the nails once the paint has dried, it is glossy, shiny and so smooth! I have never had shellac nails done myself but I could imagine this is exactly what they would be like or if not, very similar. The lilac and orange are great Summer colours and the dark green looks great in the Autumn and Winter. I can't wait to try out even more of these!
