Review: Maybelline Baby Lips
Once the Baby Lips came out in the UK I knew I was going to have to buy some, so after reading reviews and blog posts about them I decided which I wanted to try. I bought mine from boots and everything on Maybelline was three for two so I bought three! From left to right they are: Cherry Me, Hydrate and Pink Punch. I am so pleased that I bought them because for only £2.99 they are an amazing purchase! They are so soft on the lips and because mine have been quite dry lately these are perfect for adding moisture back into them! As I do not have many products for my lips I have been wearing these all the time since I purchased them.
Pink Punch |
Pink Punch was the one I was most excited to try so I am a little bit dissapointed because I have discovered that the colour doesn't suit me very well. Other than that the smell is gorgeous! It reminds me of tropical juice. I find if I just put a tiny bit of this on the lips and blend it in it looks just fine (I think).
Cherry Me |
I was also going to buy peach kiss but they were sold out of that one in boots so I bought Cherry Me instead which I am so pleased I did! I would say this coulour suits me more than Pink Punch and is my favourite out of the three of them.
Hydrate |
I am glad I chose a clear shade too because I use this just before I go to bed or any other time I am wearing no makeup because then I don't have to apply a tinted one just to get soft lips! I would describe the smell a mixture between pinapple and lemon.. I don't think that is what it is but it does smell very fresh.
My lips have been a little bit red lately so the swatches didn't look as good on them so I decided to do them on my hand instead so you can still see what they are like. The far right is Cherry Me which is a dark red/pink colour but is very sheer so adds just a nice tint of colour to your lips but not to little. The one in the middle is Pink Punch which is a baby/pale pink so didn't look as good with my light hair and skin but would probably suit people with more of a tan. I also found the colour stood out more than the cherry shade did. Finally on the far left (if you can notice) is Hydrate which has no colour but leaves a lovely glossy finish on the lips making them look moisturised and healthy.
What do you think of the Baby Lips and what is your favourite shade?
