Primark Heatless Curls!

Sorry for not writing a post in ages I have been really busy with school but because it is now half term I have so many post ideas that I am going to write! I have been waiting to write this post for ages and can't wait to share it with you!

A few months ago when I visited Liverpool I went into Primark and found these bendy curlers for only £1. I was so excited when I saw them because I had been looking for some for ages and thought for a pound I might as well try them out. I was very pleased with the results so thought I would tell you how to create a similar look yourself.

My hair is naturally straight so once I get out the shower I towl dry my hair (still leaving it slightly damp) then comb through it.

Then taking the curlers I wrap my hair from the bottom up and when I get fairly close to the top of my head I fold the ends of the curler inwards.

I complete this all over my head using the eight curlers that come in the pack. My hair is quite thin so if you have thick hair I recommend buying two packs.

I leave them in overnight and they aren't too uncomfortable to sleep in as they are made from foam. When I frst took them out I was very suprised as I had tight curls that came up to my shoulders..I didn't really like that look so I loosened the curls up with a bit of water and they came out like the photo on the left! For only a pound I was very happy with the results even though the curls do eventually drop out in my hair but I'm sure that could be fixed with some hairspray.

Overall I am very pleased with these as they were so cheap and I recommend them so much!

Tanya Burr: Chocolate Cookies!

After watching Tanya Burr's video on how to make these cookies I can't stop making them myself! They are just so good. I don't want to take credit for the recipe but because I love them so much I had to share them with you!

Ingredients For 12:

200g Unsalted Butter
300g Caster Sugar
1 Large Egg
275g Self-raising Flour
75g Cocoa Powder
1 Large Bar of Milk Chocolate
1 Large Bar of White Chocolate

Instructions:
(Before starting preheat the oven to 220°C for a fan oven or to 200°C for non fan.)

1. Place the butter into a bowl and soften it in the microwave for about 30seconds, then add it to the sugar.
2. I then use an elcetric whisk (a spoon should also work) and mix until it is creamy before adding in your egg and whisking again.
3. Then add in the self-raising flour and the cocoa powder. I usually sift the cocoa powder but don't bother with the flour.
4. I now stop using the whisk and stir in the dry ingredients with a spoon and sometimes my hands if it isn't mixing properly.
5. Now snap up the chocolate leaving it in whole chunks, add as much in as you like and make sure it is mixed evenly into the mixture.
6. At this point if your mixture is a little dry feel free to add in a little bit of milk (I never need too).
7. Line two trays with baking paper or silicone baking sheets if you have them and make the mixture into 12 handfull sized balls making sure you spread them out. The balls may seem a little large but they turn out fine! (I sometimes flatten the slightly before putting them in).
8. Now place them in the oven for 10minutes. I put mine in for 5 then swap them over for another 5 so they all get baked.
9. When you take them out they might seem quite soft but just let them cool for about half an hour before eating!

Even after waiting for them to cool the chocolate in the middle is still all melted and soft! I hope you enjoy making them and if you make any alterations or add in different ingredients please let me know so I can try them myself!

Birthday OOTN and OOTD

It was my 16th birthday yesterday and I had an amazing time with all my family and friends! I managed to get my mum to take a few photos of what I was wearing and thought I would share them with you.

On the Friday evening I and some of my close friends went out for a meal and I decided to wear this blue bodycon dress with a white flower pattern. I bought it a while ago and it was only about £15 (I can't quite remember) which I think is an amzing price for something so nice! I also wore my blue converse with some grey frilly socks from Topshop.

Top: Primark
Leggings: Next
Socks: Topshop

The next day (my actual birthday) I wore a navy shirt with black leggings. These leggings are so nice and soft and are quite thick compared to other places I have tried leggings from, I definatly recommend them! I am also wearing my frilly Topshop socks which I did wear with my black boots from River Island which are shown in my previous haul.

The Perfect Moisturiser?

Review: Garnier Moisture Match

As soon as I saw this moisturiser in superdrug I bought it straight away! The Garnier Moisture Match range has been out for a few months now but for those of you who don't know there are five different moisturisers in the range, each one for a different skin type. Including: normal skin, normal/dry skin, dry/very dry skin, dull skin and combination/oily skin (the one that I have). They are priced at £5.99 each but I usually buy mine when they are 20% off and you can get them in boots as well as Superdrug.

I am not sure if I use too little or too much at a time but it lasted a good few months for me before i ran out and re-purchased another. As you have probably already figured out I have combination/oily skin and was always worried about what moisturiser to use because I didn't want it to make my skin look even more oily than it already was. This moisturiser is perfect because as well as being oil free, fast absorbing, suitable for sensitive skin it helps reduce the apperance of shine, leaving a matte finish as well as leaving your skin feeling fresh!

I apply a large pea size amount onto my finger then rub it all over my face. I use this in the evenings when I get out the shower and sometimes in the morning depending on how much time I have. Even though this is supposed to mattifty your skin, gradually throughout the day my natural oils do start to come through even when using powder but that is expected and I would rather use a moisturiser for my skin type than for all skin types.

If you have a different skin type but are interested to find out more then click this link (here) where the whole range of moisturisers are explained. I hope this helped anyone looking for a new moisturiser!

Haul: Liverpool One

I have recently been on a day trip to Liverpool to do some shopping because the shops are rubbish where I live! I bought items from River Island, Primark, Topshop, H&M and thought I would share them so you can get an idea of what sought of items are in shops at the moment.

Topshop: Vintage Highwasted Hotpants - £28

I wasn't intending on buying any shorts but these are amazing! I feel it is important to wear shorts that actually cover you up and these do that perfectly without being too long. I am planning to wear these with black tights and either converse or my ankle boots I bought.

Topshop: Arthur School Satchel - £34

I have been looking for a new school bag for ages and thought this black satchel was perfect! It is the perfect size to fit in all my books and seems quite strong too.

H&M: Coat - £39.99
The picture doesn't show the coat very well but it is a dark brown/green colour with a fleecy lining and a waterproof outside. The fur around the hood is detachable and looks a little more like feathers.

River Island: Black Cut Out Buckle Side Chelsea Boots - £55
These are something I wouldn't usually go for but I haven't had any new boots for years now and thought that these would look so nice with shorts and tights in the winter. I loved the cut outs and thought I would give them a go!

Primark: Pyjama Vest Top - £3.50

The lounge wear from primark is my favourite place to buy pyjamas and this vest top is so comfortable to wear in bed.

Primark: Stripped Pyjama Leggings - £5

I have enough pyjamas as it is but these were so soft and I thought they would go with the vest top. They are nice to just lounge around in or to go to sleep in.

Primark: Pug Print Pyjama Leggings - £5

The photo isn't too clear but these are exactly as the above but a beige colour with little pug faces all over them. I'm not too sure what attracted me to them as I am not really a dog person, but they are quite cute.

Primark: Navy Blue Hooded Jacket - £8

I have been wanting to buy the Topshop version of this Jacket for ages but didn't want to spend lots of money on something when I knew I could get it somewhere else cheaper. When I found this in Primark I picked it up straight away! They has so many different colours but I went for a navy blue so I can also wear it for school sport. It is so comfy and goes with everything. I wish I bought two.

Primark: Ramones T-Shirt - £8.00

Looking at this top you would think I was a fan of the Ramones, to be honest I didn't even know who they were when I bought the top but I loved the colour and style so I thought I would buy it!

Primark: Bendy Hair Curlers - £1

I know they say £1.50 on the packet but they only scanned through at £1! I have been wating to try some of the curlers for ages but never got round to buying some so when I saw these for only a £1 I had to get them because even if they didn't work it wasn't really a waste of money. I have tried these out already a couple of times and was quite suprised with the results so if you want to see a seperate blog post on them just tell me below!

As my make-up collection is growing I thought I would purchase another bag (as my other one was overflowing) and I thought the gold studs looked really nice against the black. It also has two compartments so there is plenty of room.

Primark: Navy Blue Collard Shirt - £8

This is so nice for the price that it was and I think it will look really nice with leggings or tucked into shorts and tights!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, I haven't been uploading as frequently as I would like but because school has started again it has been hard to fit everything in. I am going to try and write a few posts each weekend and then upload them throughout the week but that is going to get harder when I have to start revising for exams. If you have any requets on posts leave a comment below.

The Liebster Award!

I got nominated for this award by Anna from The Anna Diaries, go and follow her blog! For those of you who have no idea what a liebster award is, it is sought of like a tag for people with under 200 followers to try and get them noticed. The person who nominates you will leave you 10 questions on their blog. I will now answer those 10 questions and leave 10 new questions for 10 other people with under 200 followers!

My Answers:

1. What is your favourite beauty product? No doubt Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder! My skin can get quite oily and this is perfect to make it seem less shiny.

2. What is your favourite book? I have so many but the first that comes to my mind is the Hunger Games series.

3. If you could choose one magazine to work at what would it be? Probably "Company".

4. Do you have any other hobbies except blogging? I play netball for a club and I also like ballroom dancing.

5. Do you prefer froyo or ice-cream? Ice-cream!

6. Would you rather not use any make-up for a week or not brush your hair for a week? I would have to not wear any make-up, unlike people who can get away without brushing their hair mine would just look like I have got out of bed!

7. Who is your favourite blogger? I love Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter, she is so inspiring!

8. How about favourite movie star? Even though I love to watch films I'm not very good with names but because I love The Hunger Games probaly Josh Hutcherson.

9. What subject (s) are you good at in school? The subject I do the best in is probably geography.

10. What would you do if your blog got 1000 followers? If I ever reach there I am a long way off yet but I would probably do a giveaway!

I tried to find 10 people to tag who haven't already done the liebster award and are under 200 followers but I could only find 8, so if you haven't done it yet just tell me:
